Propagate named set change

I am trying to propagate a named set change through the system.  Specifically, I changed one state in the named set from visible to not visible (and thus not selectable), and I would like this change to show up in all the referenced areas.  These would be in the phase as an input, which is deferred to the operation, and in an equipment module.  Having downloaded the changed setup data to the controller the module resides on, the proplus, and the batch exec and then the batch exec itself and operation, it doesn't look like the updates are reflected at all.  Upon running the operation, the state that should be invisible is visible and selectable.  The only difference I see is if I manually go online to the EM and then manually try to force the named set to the state that should be invisible, I get an error message saying that it is not a user selectable state.  What am I missing?  Why is the state showing up as visible still in the module and why doesn't the change show up at all in the operation?  Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks.

  • Did you download the equipment modules?

  • Hi

In a Phase it is not possible to make a nameset entry invisible. It is only possible in the EM.

    Cheers

I did try downloading the EM.  And the state still shows up in the EM as well.

I can live with not being able to make the state invisible, but at the very least I need it to be not selectable (without deleting the state).  Any way around this in the operation?

    Hello,

Are you trying to download the changes to DeltaV Operate gragphics as well?

I did the same thing you are trying to do last week. I changed the name state in a module. I went to ProPlus and downloaded Change Setup Data. I did the same thing for all other workstations on the DeltaV network. I did not have to download the module, just the stations.

The graphics haven't changed and actually, we aren't manipulating the named set from the graphics anyway.  We're using the named set to choose a formula value for the operation from the BOI at the start of a batch and that is the only place the named set is called up.
