HI, for implementing a plant with Deltav, should we have industrial computers or PC's are enough? some say that if we have safe room and cabinets and consoles for operators and the operator room is seal pc's are enough. in which condition we should use Industrial or pc? does emerson have any document about this?
DeltaV only uses the PCs that are sold from the DeltaV pricebook. We only support very specific standard PCs as sold from Emerson. If you need to have an industrial PC then you need to take one of the standard
PCs and mount it in an industrial enclosure. If the PCs are installed in an environmentally conditioned room then there is no need for an industrial PC. Please consult your Emerson DeltaV sales and support office for further informaiton about implementing DeltaV workstations. Also suggest you go to the DeltaV webside and look for the product data sheet on the DeltaV workstations
