DeltaV 11.3 Fieldbus DD file for pressure transmitter 3051 rev 8 work in DeltaV 9.3

My DeltaV version is 9.3.1 and I want to commission a fieldbus pressure transmitter 3051 with rev 8 and will require the required dd file.

The only available dd files from Emerson website for the ff pressure transmitter rev 8 is for DeltaV 11.3.

Please will the available dd file for DeltaV 11.3 work with DeltaV 9.3.

  Unfortunately, DeltaV 9.3 is ancient (Released in 2007 and retired completely in 2012). There is a high probability that the DD might work for your device, however it definitely will not have been tested.
  
  Some options as you try to navigate this:
  1. Both AMS and DeltaV can import DD's and it might work in one, but not the other. There is a good chance that it will reject in both due to version compatibility checks.
  2. Download a DD from the FieldComm group might be a possible option as well. These are just the raw DD's from the manufacturer and haven't been necessarily been optimized with AMS as the ones on the official Emerson site. Looking at this particular device, it looks to be a previous revision of the DD, which means there has been some bugs fixed, but it might be a possibility.
  
  All that being said, I would strongly encourage you to look into upgrading DeltaV and AMS as not only are you lacking support, but these versions are old enough that Emerson does not provide any security fixes and you're system is at risk being that far out of date. I also believe you are approaching the point where replacement hardware could start running into compatibility issues.
