I updated PID control module with a new face plate (three slave controllers instead of two slave controllers). Downloaded the control module on App station. It works fine and no issues on the app station but not tested on the operator stations. Later operators told me that they were not yet ready for three slave controllers, and I need to go back to the original face plate. I changed to the original face plate and downloaded the control module. No issues on app station to open face plate. I had two issues by switching back to the original face plate.
1. Operators were not able to open the face plate of this particular PID module on any operator station? But I could open it on the app stations. I am not sure why? We could resolve this by rebooting the operator stations.
2. On the app station this particular PID module still gives an error message indicating that the new face plate is missing when I try to trend (PV,SP and OP) from the face plate.
My question is what all the steps that I need to take/update when I create a new face plate?
Thanks for the help.

Are you sure that autoupdate service is correclty configured ? at minimum Setup data check box must be checked .
Did you run the multiple pop up picture utility ? No, but copied the new faceplate to all the operator stations. => It could be not enough you must populate all files with this tools ( toolbar utilities then update popup picture
We are no longer using the new face plate but it still looking get error message indicating the new face plate PHV file is missing. : Something is not clear of your situation , it's confused between new or not new faceplate The PHV ,
The PHV file name must match the faceplate_name (with extension PHVE) and are located on folder dvdata/charts/libs , if you didn't delete files in this folder and have correct name of faceplate used, it should work
What all the steps that we need to do to create a new face plate? It's not a so easy process, I don't know if it's described into a KBA or Book online, at minimum DV training is required....
