Proving Procedures for Coriolis and Turbine Meters in LACT Application?

I received this question via email and got a great response from the Emerson #Flow team in Houston. I wanted to capture it here in case anyone had similar questions.

Q: I have two LACT meters. One is a Coriolis meter in LPG service and the other is a turbine meter in crude oil service. Are the proving procedures the same or different for these meters?

A: They are the same if both are measuring volume. Just be cautious that LPG density changes more with temperature and pressure than crude so more stable conditions are required for repeatability.
