SILAlarm Database into DeltaV DB

Hi People,

We are working on an alarm rationalization project using SILAlarm, now that one of the stages has finished we want to apply certain changes. I have the SILAlarm database generated, does anyone have any experience implementing an .fmt file generated in that application within a DeltaV database in an online system?

    The easiest way to create a compatible fmt file is from SILAlarm itself. When you go to export the configuration for the alarms that you want to update, just make sure the "Create FMT file if necessary" is checked. This will create a matched pair of *.txt file and *.fmt file for importing alarms into DeltaV. This method will pick up both "standard" and "custom" alarms.
