Saving DeltaV Operate Theme Color After Operate Closes

Hello,

When I open the Tag Display Settings and select Theme Color Dark Gray and hit apply, I get the dark gray theme. Now, with the exception of the pro+ all engineer and operator workstations return to the default after DeltaV Operate shuts down. I want the theme to stick even after DeltaV Operate is closed and re-opened.

There is another reason for this question, it seems an SQL function with a connection between the pro+ and DV historian needs to be set manually each time I restart DeltaV Operate, except on the Pro+. I think solving the themes issue will resolve this other issue as well.

The issue has been happening since we did a system upgrade last September. We upgraded from DV 13.3.1 to DV 15 and upgraded our network hardware. switches, hosts, domain controllers, etc.

Any help on how to prevent DeltaV Operate from returning to defaults every time it starts up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael S.

  • The method I have used to change the Theme color in DeltaV Operate on a workstation consists of using the Duplicate Color Table button found in the DeltaV_Utilities toolbar in Operate configure mode to copy color tables.

For the Dark Gray theme, open the Duplicate Color Table tool, find the Theme_Colors_Dark_Gray table, copy it to the User table and rename it to Theme_Colors.

You should also copy the Named_Colors_Silver table and rename to Named_Colors to handle having the faceplates use the proper colors.

After the color tables are copied, the dynamos that are designed to use the Theme colors (found in frsModules_Theme, frsModules_HighPerf and frsSIS_Theme) and any elements with the theme color names used will show the Dark Gray color scheme.

The color table copy will need to be performed on each workstation.

Thanks for the reply. I found the issue was in .evs files in the Graphics-iFix/PDB folder, when we did the upgrade we copied the files of the pro+ over, but those specific .evs files have to be copied over to each workstation, they won't transfer by a download. Once I copied the specific files over everything worked like it used to.
