Can you provide more information? For example, what type of data are you wanting to bring in and how do you want to transfer that information? The user manual I found for a Siemens MAXUM II Gas Chromatograph shows many I/O options (discrete, analog, I²C, serial, Ethernet). All of those except the I²C (and possibly Ethernet...it depends on protocol) can be pulled into DeltaV using traditional I/O and/or an EIOC.
Lastly, if you contact the manufacturer or the vendor of the equipment, they might have experience doing whatever you are trying to do.
