쓰레기가 에너지가 된다: 차세대 에너지원 '바이오매스' 대체에너지에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 세계 각국에서 정부와 기업이 차세대 에너지를 주목하고 있다. 현재 세계적으로 에너지 소비량의 약 15% 가량을 바이오매스를 이용해 생산하고 있으며 특히 스웨덴이나 핀란드 등 자원이 풍부한 북유럽 국가에서 난방과 취사용으로 많이 활용한다. 국내에서는 우드펠릿(wood pellet)을 이용한 바이오매스 발전이 대부분을 차지한다. 목질계 바이오매스 우드펠릿은 산림으로부터 쉽게 얻을 수 있어 석유를 대체할 차세대 에너지원으로 각광받고 있다. 우리나라에서는 연간 약 900만㎥의 나무가 벌채되지만 시장에서 이용되는 양은 490만㎥ 가량에 불과.......
