Many control rooms today can be poorly lit, cramped and create fatigue-inducing environments that can have a negative impact on operator performance. In this video, I will describe how by introducing a conscientious formal design process through Emerson’s Control and Operator Performance Center, we can increase situational awareness and assure operator effectiveness.
We recognize there is no one-fit solution for everybody for operator effectiveness and control room design. Ask my team and I, David Lee questions or share your experiences about best practices for proper detection, diagnostic approach and response for all occurrences in the control room by commenting below.
