I came to know that for some critical exothermic reaction where catalyst are involved, they uses Aspen Software for Module process history instead of build in DeltaV Continuous Historian.
what was the reason and capabilities do Aspen have and DeltaV Continuous Historian doesn't?
As if you want close monitoring one can disable the Data Compression in history collection, increase the deviation or change the recording period but after all these good features why they are using other 3rd Party software to capture process history in DeltaV environment?
