Process Control Educational Recordings

One decade ago I collaborated with Process Automation Hall of Fame member, Greg McMillan to do a series of webinars on basics of process control. Actually, Greg did all the heavy lifting with the content and together with a former colleague, we provided to technical know how to do the recordings and get the content posted and made accessible.

Recently, I had to move the recordings off the platform where they were hosted and brought them over to YouTube. Even though a decade old, Greg shares a lot of wisdom that you might find valuable. We called them “deminars” at the time because they were a mix of seminar and demos using the DeltaV distributed control system simulation platform.

Each of these webinars is about an hour. One of the recordings was removed since the online demo system is no longer accessible. So when Greg mentions 12 webinars there are actually 11 in the YouTube playlist. With much of the world in lockdown mode given the Coronavirus pandemic, you might find a few these helpful in advancing your process control expertise.

Here is the complete list of recordings and links to the downloadable presentations.

One final note… if you haven’t read Greg’s recent ControlGlobal.com article, Process automation, control guidance and motivation from Greg McMillan, I highly recommend it. It’s a call to do what we can do to fill the gap in process control expertise as many of the global experts enter their retirement years.
