Floating license

Hello,

Is regular engineering license the same as Engineering Seat license for Floating License Manager?.Can it be used as a floating license when not assigned to any node?

  Hi Sebastian,
  No a professional license is like an operator license. It needs to be assigned to a DeltaV workstation. The engineering seat was introduced in v12 which make give professional capabilities to an operator station. A seat can be floating or fixed assigned. There is a temporary license available which expires after 6 or 12 months. This makes engineering demands more flexible and easier :)
