Master and Back-Up Time Servers DV 11.3

What benefit is there of having a master and a back-up? At this moment we have only the master, and it is the Application station.

  If your master server is down (Application station reboot, failure, etc.)  then the backup will be used to obtain time from.

   

  Generally, you would have a GPS time server somewhere in your network from which these master/backup time servers can obtain accurate time from.  Or a GPS time server can be directly connected to the DV network.

   

  Many options exist.
