Blending Webinar #4 - Using online analyzers to blend right the first time

When attendees at the second refining blending webinar were polled to find out their top three blending challenges, 60% of participants included analyzer system maintenance in their top three, along with variations in component quality, and re-blends.

This Thursday, July 9 at 1:00p.m., the refining team will host the fourth webinar on blending. This week’s topic will be “Using online analyzers to blend right the first time.” To register, please view webinar invitation.

Marcelo, Recently i had visited one of Indian Public Sector Unit (PSU) for blending system site survey. During the discussions with the maintanance team, it is observed that they have same problem at their site on Analyzer maintenance and also remodelling is required to be done due to change in component qualities.

Thanks for sharing Rahul your experience,

it is quite often that the analyzer system does not work properly due to poor maintenance on the sampling and conditioning system, and in many cases due to mismatch of the models with the Lab. The methodology we use for modelling requires less samples than other technologies and it is more robust due to the pattern recognition technology. It will give all properties on the components or finish product in less than 2 mintutes.
