Wastewater monitoring in manhole, a problem???

My colleague, Ryo, shares about "wastewater monitoring in manhole made easy via Emerson's smart wireless technology".  A unique wireless solution indeed....check it out @http://community.emerson.com/process/emerson-exchange/instrumentation/analytical/f/38/t/3202.aspx

  • Hi,

Pls send me more details how the signal / antenna was positioned in this case – manhole.

We have an application to do wireless level monitoring in a sump, there is a manhole covering this sump and we cannot locate the antenna out of the manhole as there is a paved road  ..

It will be interesting to understand how the above case was accomplished..

Many thanks for help in advance.

    Best regards,

Hi Nadeem, the manhole should have holes on the steel cover plate that allows signal passing through the plate. Also you need to have repeaters close to the manhole.  Regards, Ryo
