Characters in String

Hi All,

I am working with DeltaV Simulate and in one of my SFCs I have a parameter that is a string, "V210-AG001", is there a way in control studio for me to look at the last five characters of that string? Thanks for the help!

  Good question Nicholas, I'll be interested to see if you get an answer to this as well. I know of no way to even analyze a string; get its ASCII form.

  Nicholas. No there is not. The controller does not have parsing capability on Strings, like you find in VBA or other languages. You can concatenate strings, but you cannot decompose them or find text within text.
