DeltaV 14.3 Stanalone System Licence Issue, Unable to Generate Registration File on Standalone DeltaV Workstation

Hello Everyone , Hope you are doing good .

We are facing an issue on our standalone DeltaV workstation: we are unable to generate the registration file.

The system prompts us to confirm if the workstation has been downloaded, but we do not have the required license file to proceed.

The reason we need the license file is that we are required to upload the system registration file to the Guardian portal in order to obtain it. However, since we cannot generate the registration file without the license, we are stuck in a loop.

We have followed the standard procedure to create the registration file (logging in with administrative privileges, and running the Sure Service Registration tool), but cannot complete the process due to the missing license. We have attached an image showing the prompt we encounter.

Has anyone experienced this issue before, or can advise on how to resolve it?

Thank you for your help!

Snap 1 , it ask for do we have downlaoded Deltav System but due to Lience we can not download and we are lookign for the registartion file to get licence files donloaded from Guadian account.

Snap 2 , Even if we proceed further it gives us the statsu as BAD .

Snap 3 , In the end we get this Error and we are not abele to  generate the System registartion file .

  • You should talk with your Local Emerson sales/service office.

Are you configuring the PK Standalone Engineering station or an Operator Full-Span of control station?

Both of these are licensed by physical dongles, which are ordered from Emerson.

If this is the Engineering Station, you need the Dongle connected to the computer, which completes the licensing requirements that allows you to download this station.  There is no license file to receive, but you do need the dongle connected.  If you don't have the dongle, you cannot download and cannot run the Registration Utility.

I'm not sure exactly why you need to provide a registration file, but it is usually used to document the system content of a system in Guardian, not for issuing a license dongle.

My take is you need to order the license dongle for the Workstation and that allows you to complete the installation and download the system.  This would also need the PK controller connected to the project as the PK controller is the licensing component for the system size.  With the Engineering and Operator workstation dongles connected, you can download the nodes to complete the configuration of the system.  Then run the registration utility.
