DeltaV Tasks

Does anyone know what the task "ConfigExchange" does and why it consumes so much memory and CPU time in my simulation systems?

  This is a DeltaV program. Expanding task manager name you see ConfigExchangeService. In services, this service has "PK Controller Connection Service".
  
  Is this a PK Standalone Engineering station? I don't know what this service does, but it is set to start Automatic. It could be related to the PK Standalone Administration app that detects and connects to a PK controller and exchanges the configuration to/from the SD Card? Just guessing. On my DeltaV system, the app is running but consuming 0 to 0.2% CPU, mostly 0%, and 16MB of memory.
  
  I'm running v15. but since PK was released in v14, this is likely a new service starting with PK release. You could log a call with GSC to understand what this is for, and whether the resource consumption is expected or not for your system.
