What, Who & Why: Emerson's Women in STEM blog

The Women in STEM blog provides a voice for Emerson women and men across all Emerson businesses and geographic regions. We publish bi-weekly on Tuesday's though the Emerson Automation Solutions Online Customer Community (but also maintain a short link for marketing and branding purposes: http://emrsn.co/WomenInSTEM. Our mission (and communications objective) is to provide a large, public audience (both non-Emerson and Emerson readers) with actionable personal and professional development advice and showcase the professional journeys (including successes and challenges) of our colleagues, Emerson Impact Partners and customers.

As of April 1, 2019, we have published 80+ blogs that have received over 100,000 unique visits! We promote every blog through the Emerson Automation Solution and Commercial and Residential social media channels with an audience of over 500,000 followers!

WHY: The external business objective of our blog is to continue to build Emerson's reputation as an employer of choice for Women in STEM and others who view diversity and inclusion as critical factors to success for innovation.

Internally, the blog allows us to learn more about our colleagues, fosters personal and professional enrichment and growth and helps us build a strong community for Women in STEM across the globe.

Who can I invite to guest blog for Women in STEM?

Anyone in the Emerson Network is invited to contribute to Emerson's public-facing blog - this includes employees, Emerson Impact Partners and customers. On occasion, we include blogs from family members and prolific leaders from the community who speak on related topics. If you're uncertain whether a choice would be appropriate please contact Chelsea.McGovern@emerson.com or Rachelle.McWright@emerson.com.
