Onsite engineer for plant wide application optimization

Due to various project startup issues a customer’s plant was running at 30% capacity for 2 years.

The customer decided to hire a resident Emerson engineer for 6 months to a year onsite as an instruments and valves onsite specialist.  The engineer’s job is to go around the plant and optimize any applications that needed it so that it can reach design capacity as soon as possible.  This is a great way to fast track the optimization of a plant.

Does anyone else have experience when this has worked well or think they would benefit from something like this?
