we had issue regarding the communication failure happening for 3051 PTs, please note the below. Initially communication alarm appears in DCS alarm page with no changes in process data, did power recycle and in a day or 2 PT initiate trip function.
Transmitter fault alarm was configured as trip in IPF block, hence tripped the PRT stream.
Attached communication alarm for PT in DeltaV Diagnosis for both faulty and healthy transmitter.
Detail Model : 3051TG4A2B21BE8M50408015.
Installation year: 2015
Purpose: Initiator for IPS, SIL3 classified function.
IPF : Pressure HH trip at 4700Kpag for Pressure reducing terminal
PT Calibration Range: 0-6000Kpag
Installation Location: Downstream of PCV
In every 3-4year we have similar fault alarm from the device and replacement is been done.
Appreciate if you can advise on
Ø Is this model the right one for SIL3 loop, if not what is the other opted one
Ø The reason for this frequent fault alarm.
also that time vendor referred to change the Transmitter with new version, we procured new Transmitter with new revision and installed, but same problem repeating with new Transmitter too.
After installation the new PZA with new Revision communication failure Alarm started coming in DCS frequently after 2months with 2 transmitters
So could you please advise form emrson or roemont
