I am working to get a WirelessHART system installed and am getting some pushback from our IT department. Once concern is the possible interference with other networks on the same frequency (i.e. plant WiFi). I have provided the white paper that Emerson produced, but I wanted to see if anyone had practical experience I could relate.
For example, I know that there is a site-wide WiFi network at every Emerson Exchange I have been to, and the demo area has WirelessHART instrumentation working in real time, alongside this WiFi and umpteen cellular users. If our Emerson folks who set this up could provide me with feedback that they experienced no problems, or how they overcame the problems that were experienced, that would be a bit step in helping with my problem.
