Differential pressure type Level transmitter for Reboiler 2 phase Level Measurement

Dear Sir,

In the fabricated Reboiler Equipment our vendor has used DP type level transmitter with Capilary tube and condensate pot design. We need some  explanation regarding the DP type LIT which should have been a capillary tube type. Vendor claim that based on the reboiler service, an impulse tube type with condensate pots setup is a more feasible solution. They further explain that-

As the operating temperature is higher (350°C) if capillary is used the oil gets heated because of which there are chances of erratic accuracy. Hence we have proposed technological solution by using condensate pot which helps to lower down the temperature which enhances life of instrument.

My question is - They didn’t select High temperature diaphragm and simply gave an alternate solution ? or this is and additional protection to the High temperature diaphragm. Capillary type DP type LIT is available for high temperatures as well. The design proposed by vendor using Condensate pot in reboilers level measurement may faced problems than the proposed capillary tubes because of two phase flow with high vapour it will condense in the tubing. Also there is operation proble of operating this Hot condensate pot as well.

Can you clarify which is the optimum solution?
