Having Trouble with real-time Alcohol Concentration and Net Flow Measurement

Measuring Alcohol Concentration is a science. Many companies, organizations and governments depend on precise measurements for process control (recipes) or taxation purposes.

The relationships of density, temperature and concentration are analyzed to determine expected performance and accuracy. The key requirement in % Alcohol measurement is to achieve an accuracy of better +/- 0.05% APV

Our Micro Motion CDM (Compact Density Meter) is calibrated on a fully ISO 17025 accredited calibration stand. The accuracy of the meter, over a wide range of 300 to 1300 kg/m3, is 0.1 kg/m3. This accuracy is achieved by calibrating the CDM with a number of calibration fluids.

A key element to the high accuracy performance of the CDM is not just the calibration method, it is because it is highly repeatable (+/- 0.02 kg/m3). In many industries, this high repeatability allows the customers to fine tune the performance of the CDM over a limited density range to meet their very tight measurement requirements.
