ProLink II will work with your OS, but some manual settings are needed. ProLink II has since been replaced by ProLink III, which would work fine with your OS without the need for the below manual settings.

    Here’s what to do:
    1. Install ProLink II using “Run as administrator” to start the setup.exe file. Use all the setup program defaults. If there is an existing ProLink II license on the machine, that will allow it to be reused.
    2. After installation completes successfully, set security permissions on the parent of the ProLink II installation folder (default is C:\Program Files\MMI on 32-bit Windows 7) so the Users group has “Full control” file access. The ProLink II installation folder is under its parent folder and will inherit the same permissions.
    3. If ProLink II was never licensed on the machine, the user should be presented at first program start with a message asking to create a temporary license. The user can do that if they want but they need to get a permanent license right away. Send me the Site Code from the License dialog under the File menu and I can send back a Site Key for license validation.
    4. ProLink II may just work fine at this point, but if it doesn’t then the user needs to run the installation as in #1 one more time. The installer should come up in repair or maintenance mode. Just accept that and the installer should fix up any problems now that security permissions are set appropriately on the installation folder.

    I hope that helps!
