3051SMV flowmeter application

We have process using 3051SMV flowmeter as feedstock measurement and control. Becasue feedstock composition changes biweekly, so every time we should use EA to switch between diffenent configuration files and download to instrument. Has anyone have experience what is the best way to do this? Is there simple way? Daniel

  Engineering Assistant (EA) can be used to setup and save files with set compositions of fluids allowing you to load from the saved files and download to the device if you have a direct HART connection. If you don’t have the direct hart connection you can add a THUM, which is a wireless adapter for that device, and download the profile through the wireless network with the EA 6.2 software snapped onto a AMS installation.

  Hi Wally, I know about EA and SNAP-ON. Can Emerson develop the function that user can store different configuration on the transmitter, so that user can easy to switch between different recipes on a very high demand frequency.

  Daniel, thanks, this is a good idea to store 2 sets of information in the transmitter so you can easily switch back and forth. I shared the idea with the product management team so that the idea can be considered for future product releases.
