Calibrating and Correcting Errors on a Floboss 503

Sir,

i have Flowboss 503 installed for natural gas measurements. while calibrating it using roclink software, there are 3 columns displayed:

1. dead weight/tester value
2. live reading
3. Error

Now my query is- Suppose i am calibrating for Temperature and apply a certain value such as "0" degree C using resistance box for zero calibration and entered the same value in dead weight/tester value columns. but live reading is showing 10 degree C after being stabilized and error field also shown accordingly.

how will i correct the error? can simply clicking on "set zero" will eliminate the error?

  • Hello,

What you are seeing is expected. It appears that you have not fully finished the calibration, so the live reading is reflective of the default curve set; hence the discrepancy between what you want to set and the live reading. If the unit is not at default, the readings shown are being calculated using the current calibration curve in place. Once you finish the calibration process (set zero, set span, and set mid-points (up to three mid-points, and are optional)) you will be able to go into a verification, or new calibration, and see the new calibration curve applied. Once the new calibration curve is applied the live reading values will read as expected.
