When changing out the CPU card on a model 700XA with the Hydrocarbon Dewpoint Application the card itself must be initialized by an Emerson employee prior to loading the HCDP application. Otherwise the Dewpoint calculations will not be activated. This is a feature to prevent users from using the HCDP application unless they purchase the application. It also prevents customers from loading the application into C6+ analyzers due to unreliable results. So, when ordering a new CPU card please specify that the unit is a C9+ with HCDP and will need to be initialized.
