Does machine edition have excel export function?

I found that Siemens' selectiontool has a great function. After the project configuration is completed, it can be automatically exported to excel file for price query. Don't we? Is it possible to add plug-ins or patches?

  • This is a great idea and has been suggested previously. You could argue that Siemens needs this tool since their configurations are so complicated, however they are getting easier with later PLC models. PAC Machine Edition does have an export feature: create your project, configure the hardware, then right-click on the hardware configuration and select Export Material List.

Hi Steve,I know that the MachineEdition-Export Material List can export CSV files, but you don't find that there are no attachments in this list, such as ic694tbb032 \ cbl301, etc., and our competitors do well in these details. From a professional point of view, we know pac3i very well, but for users, their experience is not very good. I have heard customers say that the software is unfriendly more than once, but this is not true. We just don't see from the user's point of view, how to make it easier for everyone to learn. I believe that only people who can use it will use it. Also, we don't have a Chinese version of MachineEdition yet, which is a pity for Chinese users. At the same time, our competitors also have simulation software for testing and learning, which has to say that we still have a lot to improve.

We should ask Product Management to add the sub-modules and accessories.
For new users, there are getting started guides that they can use or a common approach is for an AE to give a 1 to 2 hour overview.
Yes we need localised versions - German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese...
    Simulation is coming.

Well, I hope the simulator will come early. It's best to have a multilingual version.
