Virtualizing the Edge – Saving Space, Time and Money

Today, edge computing is expanding by incorporating multiple processors in the same CPU rather than faster processors. This, according to Emerson’s Rich Carpenter, is a big change and Emerson has responded by virtualizing the edge, which allows multiple independent functions to be performed on the same physical piece of hardware. In this video, Rich explains the quad core processor at the heart of the unique PACSystems RX3i CPL410 industrial edge controller. Check out this walk through of the future of edge control.
