PAC ME 10.0 Issue - Environment Was Not Saved

I recently went from ME 9.5 to ME 9.8 after doing a clean uninstall of 9.5 (uninstalled everything related to PME).  Everything worked just fine, I was able to customize the toolbars, etc.

We then found out 9.8 is not officially supported by Windows 11 so we decided to then make the longer jump to 10.0 since I'm sure at some point we'll get there.  I uninstalled 9.8 PAC ME only, then installed 10.0.  Everything appears to work fine except that any custom settings are not saved and I get a notification popping up that says "Environment Was Not Saved" when I open/close out a project or close PAC ME.

I've tried Run as Administrator and various other things but still get the same message.  I'm sure it has something to do with not being able to save the settings somewhere.  Seems I've run into this a couple years back with testing 9.7 but it's been a while and don't remember if I found a fix.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks!
Bill

  • When I had uninstalled ME 9.5 I made a copy of the Administration folder that keeps the Administrator.ini file. I decided to copy the backup I made to the current in use location C:\Users\Public\Documents\Emerson\PME\SecurWORX\Local\Environment\Administrator and see if it would fix this issue. It did, I can now make setting changes and it will stay saved. Not sure why the original file was not saving the settings.
