Failed to addref cached object.

Hi Everyone,

can anyone explain me, what this Message means. 

I am trying to delete a control module together with its assignment.

  That looks to be more of a data base related issue and not so much a configuration procedural issue. The configuration tools access the database through the database server which maintains a cache of accessed objects. This makes me think you may need to restart the database server.
  
  Before you do anything, make sure you have a good backup/export. I consider any such message as a potential corruption of the database. You might want to export your database to save the very latest changes in case you end up requiring a rebuild of the database. This is strictly precautionary.
  
  Stop/start Database server:
  Close all configuration apps (Explorer, Control Studio) as well as diagnostics. Open DeltaV Database Administration tools and close out any other connections like OPC Server. Then Shutdown the Server (from the menu, not an icon). Alternatively, you can reboot the Pro Plus.
  
  If restarting the Database server does not address this, and no one else can provide you with a specific explanation of this message, you should file an incident with the GSC.
