Hi, does anyone know how i can convert 4 x raw integers into a 64 bit floating point in DeltaV 14.3.1?
In reply to IntuitiveNeil:
Hi IntuitiveNeil , would be great to read the document once the link is fixed. thanks.
In reply to Stuart Jolley:
The Exchange Link above it okay, it was just the Intuitive link to the guidance document that was outdated. I've uploaded the linked file above. This document gives some background and shows how you can get the number into a DeltaV Operate environment (not sure about DeltaV Live). Unless the latest controllers can do 64 bit floats within the controller environment (I don't believe that can). To keep the double precision you can only really view and manipulate with DeltaV Operate, (which may or may not be what you want in your application), good luck.
I believe all of the pieces required are in there. see what you can make of it. You may need to migrate the fhx to your DV version using DVMIG and also it's iFix (not Live)
Let us have some feedback if you find it useful.
I beleive it goes without saying, you should confirm it fully meets the requirements of your application through verification testing.
