EIOC Version 13 IP Address Conflict

When commissioning a new EIOC, we discovered that we had an IP address conflict with an existing EIOC even though we selected a different IP address for the new EIOC. From all appearances on RSLinx, it looked like the existing EIOC uses two IP addresses even though we only assigned one address to it in configuration.

Can anyone verify this behavior?

Is this documented anywhere?

  The standby EIOC has an IP address of n+1 compared to the primary. In the original BOL, this was not documented but a KBA was published (AK-1900-0011) that documents this behavior.
