Status: OPC Server init failed: hr=8008005. Error Msg: Server execution failed

I have this issue with OPC Server when i try to run by opcwatchit. Please, help me!

  • error code 0x80070005 means either the OPC client has no permissions to launch the server or it has no permissions to access the server.
    Please check access rights

    I already add full access rights by add user is Everyone in COM security but not successfull. Can you pls suggest me more?

    OPCwatchit runs as the interactive user, so your statement about having access rights is not necessarily correct.

    What is the logged on user
    where are you running OPCwathcit from
    which OPC server are you trying to access - local DeltaV OPC or remote on another server?

    Native deltav should not require Everyone permission, this only comes into play if you are trying to access remotely. Anyhow, if all else fails, log on as DeltaVAdmin and then try OPCwatchit. If it doesn't work as DeltaVAdmin user, then call GSC to rerun REGALL and reset user accounts back to default.

    The user logged is: Administrator and i run OPCwatchit at Local Machine.
    I had tried to connect from remote client but not successfull too.
    My PC is only for a simulate station (included license key) so how can i reset the account of DeltaVAmin user?

    Regarding your printscreen you try to connect to the local OPC server on DV Station, so this is NOT a DCOM or COM config !!!!
    As said by Chetans to get access you must be logged In deltav point of view ( not only windows) with a user having DeltaV access Right ( for example the same user used to configure with Control Studio) The User must be at least member of one DeltaVGroups

    Close OPCWATCHIT , log you on deltaV from Deltav Flexlock and reopen OPWATCHIT

    Which version of DeltaV ?
    When you say The user logged is: Administrator , do you means Windows AND DeltaV Log on ?
    I think that reseting DeltaV admin password on a standalone Simulate will not solve the issue. If you want to do it there are several ways:
    - Re run Workstation Installation tools
    - At command prompt run the command SERVPWD
    - At command prompt run the command REGALL /Registers

    You can also check in the windows user manager that DeltaVadmin (and administrator) account is not locked

    My DeltaV version is 11.
    I logged on the same account with Windows and DeltaV.
    And i checked the DeltaVadmin (and administrator) account is not locked.
    But the same issue is showing: Server init failed: hr=80080005. Pls advise me!

    In the same condition where you have the issue, are you able to add, download and view it in control studio online ? are you able to see values into a datalink in Operate or Live ?
    Does you dongle attached to the PC and seen in the system ?
    can you run the following command ( take care the capital letter is important)

    "are you able to see values into a datalink in Operate or Live ?" - On DeltaV Operate, values are all "@@@@".

    I attached my usb dongle to the PC. This is the capture when running your command.
