Our plant is close to end of life, so upgrading to a newer DeltaV version is not an option. Using the one allowed external OPCHDA connection, I am able to extract data for a report out of the Continuous Historian. The problem I am experiencing is that a day after I pull report data, I can no longer access the Continuous Historian without restarting my Dream Report software. ODS believes there must be a no activity timeout on the DeltaV side of the OPCHDA connection as this issue only occurs with DeltaV and not any other data sources I generate reports from. Does anyone know if there is such a time limit, and if so, can it be disabled?
I have looked through what documentation on DeltaV Continuous Historian I have available to me, as well as searched these forums, and have so far come up empty. Any help would be appreciated.
