【DeltaV Live】 Can't Publish Live Function to Operator Console

Hi all.

A really annoying problem has occured during the process of our deltV integration.

We are currently using the DeltaV 14.3 system, DeltaV Live is taken as our default graphic software.

After editing the settings in Live Administrator on ppn(plus professional), we click the "publish" button to allow DeltaV Live function to be used on our Operator System (OS).

The pop-up window was closed automatically, but no change were take place on our OS computer.

And the green icon which indicated that the setting needs to be publish not disappear.

I tried the above process for several times, but nothing happened on my OS.

And I can't find any log about the publishing process.

Have anyone met this dilemma before? Or if anyone know what could lead to this problem?

I'll be greatly appreciated for your suggestions!

  • Please call the GSC. They will be first to know and be able to assist on product issues. Note that v14.3.1 is now released and service pack is available via Guardian site. If you have not installed this (you indicate you have v14.3), do this before anything else.

Thank you for the answer Andre.
Yes, we're now using the v14.3, and haven't installed the newly released patch. I'll for sure try the method soon.
  • I would say it's not a problem related with the version of the system as nowadays (three years later) it still happens with some other configurations, so if there is any standard solution to it would be good to know.

I have seen from time to time that a change in graphics studio does not result is an expected flag to publish. My work around is to force a cosmetic change and save again.

I’m not following what change you are doing in Live Administrator that would set a publish flag. Do you mean Workstation Configuration? You do have to actually save the changes before the publish flag appears. I’ve caught myself missing this step.

If the issue is repeatable, you should open a GSC call so they can a properly report this back to developers or possibly provide resolution.

First, let's say that case happens a lot...(the one of the flag not appearing in Graphics Studio)...but it's another case.
Second, in this case I was talking, like , about a case were the flag appears in the Live Administration\Workstation Configuration (obviously, after you saved the changes) but when you press to publish the flag stays there and there is no changes in the Operator Station.
