Not being able to download from Operator Workstation

We have  an operator workstation that we run as a Pro Station. We recently upgraded and rebuilt our Operator station which is already part of the DeltaV network. We installed deltaV and re-ran the workstation configuration utility. However, while running the workstation configuration utility we got the error stating that "a domain controller could not be connected"  we continued with the error and installed finished the workstation configuration for this new upgraded machine. After downloading the setup data on PRO+ and Operation station, we have all the users configuration and graphics working, DVexplorer connecting, and auto logon to windows and DeltaV is working too.

The problem is that this workstation was working a pro station where we were able to look at the process history view, BOI, and were able to download but now we can't download anything from this workstation. We have pinged the Pro+ and other workstation and made sure that we are on the same network. My primary and secondary networks both are active also.

Also, we looked at the registry editor for other Operation workstation and found some registries where we can manually create some entries to add pro+ and paths to continuous historian and we can add those registries to this workstation but I don't want to do this because that may break what is already working. Can anyone please let me know if there is a way we can setup this workstation so that it can connect to domain controller and we can download and access the process history view?

Thanks.

  • I would unassign & re-assign the pro license for starters. Did you do a full download of the operator station? Are you logged in on the operator station with a user account that has download permissions? You could also re-run workstation configuration again.
