Profibus Signal Scaling

Hi Folks,

When the "Use Scaling" option is selected for a profibus device signal how are the 0% and 100% of scale values calculated.

In this case the setup is for a PCV output signal (16 bit unsigned integer).

0% of scale is set to 80, 100% is set to 150.

Pressure transmitter is ranged -1 to 11 Bar.

  your gain is Out(max)- Out(min) divided by In(max) - In(min)
  your bias is Out(min) -((Gain * In(min))

  For such purposes I use the SCALER (SCLR) block. Here, you link in the 16 bit signal, specify the IN_SCALE (80 .. 150) and the OUT_SCALE (-1 .. 11 Bar). The result is in the OUT.
