"Shelving Expired" distinctive alarm sound / icon / color / priority

Our site defaults to 7 days for operator alarm shelving, per our alarm philosophy.

When the shelving timer expires, the alarm sounds if the point is still in the alarm state. This is confusing for most operators and they have to ascertain, "is this a valid new alarm or did it just come off shelving?"

Some obvious work-arounds are 1) Check the "Alarm Suppress" summary (AlmSupp pre-built (stock) graphic) at the beginning of the shift and note any whose timers are likely to expire during your shift, or 2) Set long term invalid alarms to OOS 3) implement dynamic suppression if the alarm is invalid for the plant state.

Is there another stock graphic that segregates shelved alarms from OOS and dynamically suppressed alarms?

Is there a way to make an alarm that sounds because of "shelving time expired" make a distinctive tone / icon / color? Do other users see any value in this?

Did you find a solution to your last question on having a distinctive tone/icon/color for a shelved alarm returning to service after the shelve timer expires?
