Even the strongest cybersecurity policies and procedures are useless if nobody knows about them. Remember, everyone in the organization needs to play their part in maintaining a cybersecure operation.
Ensure that everyone who comes into the organization- physically or digitally- understands and follows the cybersecurity policies you have in place:
- No one said that cybersecurity is convenient
- Annually review policies and procedures for possible improvement
- Train your employees on their part in cyber-protection
- Enforce those policies just like you would enforce safety policies!
2. Train your employees and contractors on installed cybersecurity protections installed at the site.
- Remember that anyone who comes through the front gate can adversely affect the cybersecurity at that site, ANYONE!
- Enforce the policies and procedures
- Provide regular refresher training
