I am attempting to build a model for an MPC controller with 1 manipulated variable, 1 control variable, 2 constraints, and 3 disturbances. I have my .dat file with 384 samples. DeltaV Predict is in expert mode so I am able to select "Create model from file" as well as browse for my file. It accepts the file with no I/O mismatch errors, or any others. However, every time under the autogeneration section it reads: "STATUS: ERROR - Failed to read process data." There is no guidance provided in the help documents as to what to check for. Please assist me with this. This would be our plants first entrance into any form of MPC and I would greatly appreciate any help in getting past the model generation stage.
