Operator station Installation and procedure.

Hi,

I am installing deltaV. Can anyone explain deltav Operator installation Procedure and which option need to be selected while installation?

1)Local professional operator base maintenance

2)Operator station as remote client

3)Remote profession operator base

Is there any document explaining all above details?

Thanks

  • Once DeltaV is installed on a fresh install of Windows, here are some additional things to consider and set on all stations:
 Include the monitor pop-up checks to make sure that pop-ups come up on the monitor with focus and not always monitor 1. Setup if required. (Registry and other changes may be required but hopefully this just works without any changes!)
 Include a step to add / update the DNS server to include the alternate IP address
 Verify the NIC binding order is correct
 Disable the Windows Error Reporting
 Create “Full” Crash Dump Files on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
 Screen resolution and colour quality set / checked for all monitors
 Check / set Operate Environment protection as required
 Check / set the Bypass 16:10 option in Operate as required (Likely not required)
 PHV and BHV default data servers verified
 Open the BOI and make the initial connection to the correct Batch Executive. Restore the DVBClient.ini file as required. Setup the BOI Batch List Process Cell filtering as required.
 If required – set / check the connection of the Batch graphics
 Disable / Verify that the Windows Firewall is disabled. (It should be but just check)
 Install anti-virus (per KBA – the exclusions are important) and run a full scan
 Open any other applications that expected to be used on that station to make sure all initial pop-up set-up prompts are answered. E.g. MPC Operate, etc
 Default profile updates (Do this last)

Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask for help!
