Changes to Detail Faceplate

Hello,

I need to update the Detail Faceplate on DeltaV Operate. Once I make the change, is there any procedure to update on the DeltaV Operate.

  Hello Darrell,

  Assuming you are modifying the detail faceplate from the ProfessionalPlus, all you need to do is run the “Update popup pictures” utility in DeltaV Operate (while in Configure mode).  This should update all copies of the detail faceplate with the changes you’ve made.  “Update popup pictures” is available through the DeltaV Utilities toolbar group.  You can then download the workstation node where you want to use the modified detail faceplate (this depends on whether the Auto-Update service for that workstation is configured to receive updated displays and charts; set to ENABLED by default, from what I recall).  The procedure is the same when you want to update faceplates.

  By unchecking option Utility skips creating multiple copies of faceplates under path ..../PIC/POC, so it saves time if that faceplates are not used. You can manually delete multiple copied if not required at path PIC/POC/Temp/Faceplate and Backup folder.
