  • Do you mean you do not want the 'Change Password' button to appear on the DeltaV Logon application?

You can't disable this, but what you can do is set the Operating system account setting for 'User Can't Change Password' to enabled (either through DeltaV User Manager or through Windows AD for domain or User Accounts for Workgroup).

I assume you run using a generic Operator account instead of assigning individual accounts to each person using the system.  If that is he case, then definitely set 'User Can't Change Password' for this generic account.  If not, why wouldn't you want users to manage their own passwords?

    thanks for the reply.

I login to server 2008 r2 a password every 90 days to ask the administrator to change it and I do not want to change it because several people enter the system. I've already tried disabling it from POLICIES password option and 90 days and was disabled and not allowed to change. my system is in domain.

If I understand correctly, you want to remove enforcement that a user must change their password every 90 days?

I would only recommend this for service accounts (like DeltaVAdmin).   I also wouldn't suggest everyone logs in as Administrator.

As I depicted in the User Manager screenshot, my NONE user (who has no authority other than to view alarms and is the default OS account; i.e. a service account) is configured with a password that never expires. This is actually a per-user (operating system account) setting which will override policy setting for maximum password age.

I don't believe you can disable the maximum password age policy; if you don't define it, the default for Windows will take affect (if another policy, like the DC policy, does not override it).
