Can Delta V Operate support multiple instances of the same faceplate?

Hi Guys,

I tried searching this site, BOL and the internet. no luck.

I would like to be able to have two instances of a faceplate open at the same time. I want to view the PID faceplate of two loops at the same time (each loop would provide data to 'its' instance of a PID faceplate. Is this possible/easy?? If so, how would I go about it?

Cheers,

Eric

  • Yes, this is supported in DeltaV Operate.  To do it, you need to do two things:

    1.       Edit the script in usersettings.grf.  You need to uncomment a line to enable multiple faceplates and to set the maximum number.

    2.       Run the update popup pictures utility in DeltaV Operate.  This is a button that looks kind of like a faceplate and is located on the DeltaV Utilities toolbar.

After you update the popup pictures, download setup data to your stations so that Yellowpages copies the files around.
