ALARM BANNER - how to change the alarm order

Hi All

My customer ask me to show the alarms on alarm banner in the order of time, exactly like we can sort the alarm on alarm list.

Some idea? I'm looking for some simple solution, if exist.

Regards

Dawid

  • You can't change the sorting order of the banner in the manner you suggest. You can embed the alarm list activex object into the banner (you either may need to resize banner to fit everything or toggle visibility of list/banner buttons)

  • Dawid,
I guess the current structure looks for Alarm TimeIn and Alarm Priority and updates the Alarms banner.
Probably you can give a try to remove the priority out of the code/animation.

    Theoratically seems to be manageable.

    Mann,

Will be so easy to solve this problem in this way, look to the standard alarm banner. You are going to show the elements of User alarm table THISUSER/FALMSNo and I need to change the order of the elements inside this table, there is no animation on priority or on time stamp.

Unfortunately  Youssef give me the correct answer, probably there is no way to do this,

May be Jim Cahill can if there is somewhere  some hide frs function or global parameter to do this

but I have seen already the frsFactoryGlobals source code and there is nothing

    Regards

Dawid, I forwarded your reply to some of my friends on the DeltaV product management team to see if they or any of the developers know about any hidden tricks that they can share.

  • In reply to Jim Cahill:

Great Jim, I'll wait for news from you

    Thank you
