DeltaV importing

I have an .fhx file from one of our plants and have been trying to import. First, I tried on a stand-alone simulation p+, then on a test station we have that has a few hundred tags. The problem I am having is not all of the modules import. I open the .fhx file on notebook and see that all of the modules are there but don't get them in my import. All of the OSs are the same version and all of the P+ stations are the same version. I've looked on BOL with no luck. Could someone give me some advice on what to try next? Thanks

  • You need to look at the log that is created when you import. Typically named sets that do not exist or alarm or security preferences will break an import.

  • In reply to Aaron Crews:

The data in the Setup section of the database needs to be imported separately from the modules and other stuff.  It is not automatically included in the FHX when you export only part of the original database.

I would suggest (if possible) skipping the importing process and using the database backup (hbk) from the source system to restore onto the target  (I assume blank) system.
