Batch Functions Security

The project has area-specific recipes, and a user (OPERATOR1) assigned to two areas (Area X and Area Y). So, DeltaV will allow OPERATOR1 to launch recipes for Area X and Area Y. However, the requirement here is that OPERATOR1 should not be able to start an Area X recipe from the OIT, which is located in the Area Y room.

 

Are there any ways to achieve this requirement in DeltaV Live?

  If I understand correctly, you want OPERATOR1 to only control Area Y from a specific operator station. This is done by assigning Area Y but not Area X to the operator station. Both the user and the operator station need to have area rights to be able to get alarms and have control.
